What is Co-Op Housing?
A housing co-operative is formed by people joining together to provide good quality homes for one another. Faced with continually increasing housing costs, many people see Co-op housing as a way of having a secure, affordable home in a community environment. At the Annual General Meetings (AGM) in October, the budget meeting for next year, the members vote whether the fees will be increased or not.
Housing Co-operatives are designed, constructed and inspected to meet the quality standards set by Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), within cost limits of modest housing.
A Word About the Background Pictures
The background pictures are of the co-op itself. There are 4 of phase I and 4 of phase II, and they all come up randomly.
If you have any pictures of the co-op that you think would make a nice website background, feel free to email them to quarrywebmaster@gmail.com . However, in order to respect the privacy of our members, we would ask that there not be any people in your pictures.
The pictures themselves are 400 pixels wide. In order to make it easier for you to email them, we recommend that you resize them before emailing. We will happily resize them for you, but you may find it a lot faster to do it yourself.
